How to Reset Your Apple Watch
There are two main ways to reset your Apple Watch, depending on your needs:
Method 1: Erase All Content and Settings (Standard Reset)
- Keep your Apple Watch and iPhone close together.
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap the My Watch tab, then go to General > Reset.
- Tap Erase Apple Watch Content and Settings.
- Confirm your choice. If you have a cellular model, you’ll be asked if you want to keep or remove your cellular plan. For pairing later, choose to keep it.
- Enter your Apple ID password to disable Activation Lock, then tap Erase.
Method 2: Reset Directly on the Apple Watch
- On your watch, open the Settings app.
- Go to General > Reset.
- Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
- Enter your passcode if prompted, then confirm the erase.
Important Note: Resetting your watch will delete all media, data, and settings, and it will unpair from your iPhone if it’s still connected.
