Steps to Permanently Delete Your Instagram Account
- Go to the Instagram account deletion page in a web browser (you cannot delete your account from the mobile app).
- Log in to the account you wish to delete.
- Select a reason for deleting your account from the dropdown menu.
- Re-enter your password when prompted.
- Click “Permanently delete my account”.
Important Notes
- Your account, profile, photos, videos, comments, likes, and followers will be permanently removed.
- You cannot regain access to your account once it’s deleted.
- Instagram may take up to 90 days to delete all your data from their systems.
- If you just need a break, consider temporarily deactivating your account instead.
