How to Delete a Facebook Account

Steps to Permanently Delete Your Facebook Account

1. Back up your data by downloading a copy of your Facebook information from Settings.
2. Click the account menu (top right) and select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
3. Go to Your Facebook Information and select Deactivation and Deletion.
4. Choose Permanently Delete Account and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Enter your password, confirm deletion, and click Delete Account.

Important Notes

• Account deletion is irreversible after 30-day cancellation window
• Some data (like messages sent to others) may remain visible
• You can’t use Facebook Login for other apps after deletion
