Instructions for a Basic Dart Paper Airplane

  1. Start with a standard piece of letter-size (A4) paper. Lay it flat on a table in a portrait orientation.
  2. Fold the paper in half lengthwise. Crease it sharply, then unfold it. This center line will be your guide.
  3. Fold the top two corners down. Bring them to the center crease so the top of the paper forms a point.
  4. Fold the new top corners to the center. Take the diagonal edges you just created and fold them to the center line again.
  5. Fold the plane in half. Fold it along the original center crease, so the previous folds are on the outside.
  6. Create the wings. Fold the top layer down, aligning the edge with the bottom of the plane. Flip it over and repeat on the other side.
  7. Make final adjustments. Ensure all creases are sharp and the wings are even. Your paper airplane is now ready to fly!
