Steps to Permanently Delete Your Instagram Account
- Log into your Instagram account on a web browser (you cannot delete your account from the mobile app).
- Go to the Delete Your Account page: https://www.instagram.com/accounts/remove/request/permanent/
- Select a reason for deleting your account from the dropdown menu.
- Re-enter your password when prompted.
- Click Permanently delete my account.
Important Notes
- Your account, profile, photos, videos, comments, likes, and followers will be permanently removed.
- You cannot regain access to your account once it’s deleted.
- Instagram cannot delete your account for you. You must complete the process yourself.
- If you can’t log into your account, you’ll need to reset your password first.
- Instagram gives a 30-day deactivation period. If you change your mind, you can reactivate during this time.
